Francesca Woodman

April 3, 1958 – January 19, 1981

Woodman was best know for her black and white photos of herself and female models.

fading away, almost gone from the face of the earth.
fading away into the air, her face almost gone or is her mind not here at all.
is she half there and half ghost,
in an empty room with nothing in the surroundings or on the walls, yet its a clean room.

is she breading her last breath in the bathroom or in a empty  small room.

some of her exposure have been used double and it seems this one is one of them.

the was taken in Vince self portrait of her and it looks as if she has used a telephone lead.

this image show like she is burying herself under the tree and within the .cold pond water.  again she is on her own silent surroundings and is so young

Her work is mainly about herself, her surroundings, suicidal, loneliness and capturing the silent thoughts of her short life.

About her
Francesca was born into a artistic family who had spent lots of time on her own and had great interest in photography at a young age and around the age 13 years she started to produce great work until she jumped out of her loft window and killed herself when she was 22 years of age.

Conclusion
Her images about her revealed lots of loneness, so was it that she was telling the public.  In one instant, when she presented her work at the MONA exhibition she included,
‘Do I still exist if you do not see me?

Francesca Woodman was an American photographer best known for her black and white pictures featuring herself and female models.
Many of her photographs show young women who are nude, blurred (due to movement and long exposure times), merging with their surroundings, or whose faces are obscured.
Her work continues to be the subject of much critical acclaim and attention, years after she committed suicide at the age of 22.
