mailbox research, map etc FORMATION and why i chose it IMAGES

MAILBOX RESEARCH, MAP PLUS MY ROUT IN BRIEF
WHY I CHOSE IT,

My main reason for choosing the MAILBOX location was for me to discover what was available at the MAILBOX, what was there for the public, what the MAILBOX consisted  plus was it affordable for the public of all classes.

Before taking the images, going on the site a lot of research was carried out on goggle, magazine, books and places to visit centre in the city centre.

During my research i found some images on Google boring and the project did not seem what i had expected but, i decided to stick to my first chosen location mailbox because i thought if i was given this location for work i would have to do the best I could, plus maybe i can make my images less boring and try and do better and the main point was i would learn what the MAILBOX consisted of.

Few maps were researched and one was chosen which i used for this work
below is the map of the MAILBOX

The above map i used during my photograph work and during my 5 visits at the MAILBOX. During my visits at the site the XMAS lights were on and the Germany market was also there.
My walking journey was 3 from the QUEENSWAY side, the main entrance for the MAILBOX and two visits were from BROAD ST, through the city center library path which started from outside the, M & S store where I got off the bus, and images were taken of XMAS lights etc.
At one occasion the battery became dead so not all the image could be taken.
The 5 visits were taken at different times and also in raining weather, cold, wet and in dull conditions.
What i did learn, different natural lighting gave different colours to the same images plus taking images at different conditions also makes lots of difference, i guess its how we see colour with our eyes due to the colour receptors and take in information via the brain.

this above image is from google show that we only have 3 colour receptors and we can see colour only in the presets of light and in the dark we can only see black and white.

Sum up
There was a morning visit wet and cold.
Morning and a afternoon visit via Selfridge
Afternoon visit with a tripod
Evening visit
Evening and late evening visit on my own.
Weekend vist.

However, not only did i took pictures i also had to be very careful and be alert all the time with the camera, not knowing what sort of people i was surround by.

i did make a few mistakes for example, going out taking images in the early morning in the snow after having a bath and without have a drink or breakfast and after taking images there were no shops open to have a hot drink as it was around 7 .30am so heath and safety is important.

This has been a great location and have learned a lot, have missed out the sea-life images but can do it at a later stage
