My question for the fashion
shooting job
- Research, What is fashion?
- Meeting with the manger to see what they want
- Researching and planning
- Showing the manger the photo examples and planning for final shoot
- Plans for poor weather change
- Finally pitching the ideas with the fashion group and fixing the final dates for the shooting and the cost
- final shooting took place at Bewdley museum near Kidderminster.
- addresss, - Load St, Bewdley, Worcestershire DY12 2AE
1. Researched, What is fashion?
Fashion
creates identity more of an icon.
Controls
lives of some people
More of a trap of what you should be wearing due to advertisement, that includes photography’s work
More of a trap of what you should be wearing due to advertisement, that includes photography’s work
Fashion designers work
along with photography’s so their work
can be shown to the public, what you should be wearing, what makes you look
beautiful and stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Fashion advertising
starts at a very young age i.e. as a baby when your families choose your
colour-graded garments. Fashion has lots
of power over each of us if we allow, mainly at a young age.
Fashion makes us stand
out of a crowd or hide us in a crowd for example,
Uniforms hide people
A prisoner has a
uniform different from a prison guard, just as other people’s uniforms in life
such as, nurses, doctors, cleaners and lab workers.
Uniforms are usually
geared towards health and safety and as a job identity.
Fashion makes one stand out
Fashion that makes us
stand out is more geared as a personal identity
People who want to
look different and want to be noticed for example, celebrities, people who love
fashion etc..
How well off are you?
With fashion-outfits
one can see how well off you are or not so well of,more of a class status.
Power of fashion
Fashion is a very
powerful changing industrial market, were lots of jobs are available and lots
of money to be made and can be a stress full job.
There is a lot to keep
up with, as the fashion world is a very fast changing industrial.
Power of fashion two
It also controls you
body size as most garments that go on the catwalk and later come into shops are
usually in sizes 10 to 12 and in some cases a size 14 maybe can be ordered with
extra money.
So the question one
should ask themselves, what is beautiful
2. Meeting with the manger to see what
they want
After
meeting with the manger we decided an outdoor location where there was a lot of
land and trees plants etc as the students were wearing casual outfits and they were
in there 20’s.
Researching and planning the shoot
A lot of research
went into the job as we went out to test shoots, used a tripod, flash gun etc
a) went to custard factory
b)city center by water fall
c)canon hill park
d) mail box if it was raining,( this was plan B)

See images
below.
The images
below were taken with a flash gun and a Nikon camera and a normal lens up to 55mm
but taken at different angels and to get different affect.
In the lower
section the flash gun was used so it the white ceiling to give that smooth light effect
to the whole picture.
In my set of images used Photoshop to match the colours of the garment of the model to blend in with the
outfit and tried to make the images unique and stand out like the photographer David Bailey who is an English photographer.
one on the left has more shadows of the metal chair than the one on the right image
this one on the above had more light on the trouser, shoes and face depending what is the main garment is to be focused on.
only half of the body if a hat was to be seen worn etc.
3 locations were planed city center by the water fall, cannon hill park and botanical gardens.
City center by the water fall was too crowed and even if we did go in the
morning or evening we could not control the public passing by etc and we could
not make a plan B if the weather went, raining etc. So that was out
Cannon Hill Park was good location but permission
was required and insurance so, we wanted something different so finally in
the end went to Bewdley museum near
Kidderminster and paid the Bewdley museum for the day. The images are the final shoots that were shoot at the Bewdley museum.

The light is more on the face of one model and very less on the other model because i wanted it to be different and stands out plus eye catching and make the viewer think why the light is on one model only. i also liked the tulips colour simlar to thfe modules lip colour.
Shaun Alexander photographer has done a similar photo with lighting only on one module. see below.

AND WHITE IMAGE
park photo box used as a bench
this image is strong and i liked the way the lady model is looking at the man model and claiming her space and in the middle of two models you can see the back of the models print on the jacket which is the main focus of the jacket yet the image looks so real.
i believe if the 3 modules were in a triangle pose may have be better but, this one is unique.
image is of the 3 models standing in their causal outfits and trainers.
framing the 3 models within a circle. image has been cropped and one below is the original
below are examples, if you want the background or images to remind a buyer of a popular seen, like a wake - up for the brain a encouraging to buy that may not want to buy.
3 laysers in the above images background colours to match the out fit
thinking and water coming from the left
